- menu > Preheat, select filament type being unloaded
- When up to temperature, menu > 'remove filament'
- It will start to push up and out
grab ahold of it and pull it out the last bit
- Problems:
- It can happen that the filament gets stuck and won't come out.
- If that happens, increase the nozzle temperature,
and repeat the unload as many times as needed,
while pulling (try grabbing the filament with pliers)
until it will finally come out.
- It has happened that no amount of pulling will get it out. When this happened to me, it was because there was a blob at the end of the filament that would not pull through the PTFE tube. I opened the idler door to discover this. I reached in with a pair of cutters and cut the blob off.
- If this happens, it can mean that your nozzle/heat-block are partially clogged, and you might do a hot or cold pull procedure to clean it.
