  • display screen will always show:
small letters top left of screen showing current transmit/receive mode (FM/WFM/AM, USB/LSB, CW/CW-R, RTTY/RTTY-R)
(see manual pg. 34 for how to switch between modes)

small letters top right of screen showing current time
large letters showing current frequency setting
small letters just below the frequency setting show options currently selected:
          eg. "AGC-F" or "DUP+"
in the middle far right of the screen, a logo saying either "VFOA" or "MEMO"
          (toggled by V/M in M2)
a slider bar (labeled "S") that tracks the squelch setting - (outer ring of top left knob)

  • Below all of this will be other stuff, depending on the screen option selected (rotate through 3 available screens by momentarily pressing Menu/Grp)
    • "home" screen has menu options SPN, HLD, FIX, and SPD. [This may not be exactly true, as the SPN/HLD... options are for the Band Scan that is toggled with the Band key in upper right corner]
    • screen with sliders labeled: "Po", "ALC", "COM", and "SWR", as well as a block on the mid-right showing memory band, plus a block lower right showing radio temperature.
