Won't boot:
was working with rPi-JR04, then did something and it stopped working,
would not boot up.
removed the board, and it likewise would not boot up, even disconnected from the desktop SSD board
the red power button, after a solid-on period, blinks 4 shorts and 3/4 longs. Nothing is displayed on the screen (?)

forum suggests something with power, but same cable and supply works fine with two other boards.
another suggestion is problem is due to incompatible software - pi-desktop software?
another forum post said to check the 3.3v supply, which can be damaged if shorted to gnd, and which will then prevent booting.
rPi-JR04 has good 3v3.
Created a new NOOBS SD card, with most recent Raspbian - buster. This successfully boots in rPi-JR04.
SD card trials:
Swapped cards between boards to troubleshoot
and fear I made things worse, since SD01, which used to work in both rPi-02 & 03,
now won't work in either.
Somewhere in troubleshooting I used SD03, which has buster loaded,
and wonder if that might have caused problems.
SD01: gets past the rainbow screen, single center raspberry displayed, but then loses HDMI
