- Label on device:
Plug2Cam
Cam-ID/User: HE349079
login password: 35522
access code: 35522
documentation says - password for MD81S wifi signal: 12345678
- There are tiny switches on both sides of the module.
Holding the module with the label "up" facing you, with the camera cable exiting the "top" of the module:
- The switch on your left side is the power switch, and when "down", away from the camera cable, the module is OFF.
- The switch on your right side is the P2P/AP selector, and when "down", selects ... ???
- AP mode ("access point"), also known as a hotspot in an 802.11 network operating in the infrastructure mode, means the module acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot so that wireless clients can connect to it.
- P2P mode ("Peer-to-peer"), also known as direct mode, means the module can send/receive data directly to another P2P device wirelessly.
- There is also a micro SD card slot, a tiny microphone, and a mini-USB port.
- Documentation says monitoring software is available for android and iPhone.
- Testing/Operation (with no monitoring software loaded):
- Plugged in battery pack. Inserted SD card and switched on. Still has a charge. Lots of red & blue LED blinking.
Computer wireless (icon in tray) found device: MD81S
(RoavC2Pro_7E84 also found intermittently, but only 54% signal, so clearly from some other source)
- File (.avi) is created in "RECORD" folder of SD card. Start of actual recording is delayed 30-40 sec from power-up.
It didn't matter whether P2P/AP switch was "up" or "down,"
- Summary to this point:
Video (audio not tested) successfully records to SD card.
