• (link to:) Audacity is a full-featured, free, open-source software for multi-track audio editing and recording, available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and other OS's.
• Installation:
• Audacity site says current version to use for Linux is 2.3.1 or 2.3.2, and specifically NOT 2.3.0
  They suggest searching rpmseek.com for current version,
  but none found there.
• Menu > Software Manager
  search for Audacity
  finds version 2.1.1 available, but that's not current/recommended version,
  so abandon using Software Manager
  2023-03-28 version 2.4.2 is available from Software Mgr, but 3.2.5 is most recent from Audacity.
  However, Audacity has been sold (late-2022, early-2023) and most recent versions contain tracking/sypware.
  The latest official version of Audacity that does not implement telemetry is 3.0.2.
  
  OTOH decided to install 2.4.2 from Software Manager onto Beelink Mini S12 on 2023-10-08.
