This stuff is random info and links that I don't know if or how they apply...
-----
- Launch Pat:
- $ sudo kissattach /dev/ttyXX wl2k 43.43.43.43
However, I have not been able to find how to install kissattach command.
OTOH, notes on (go to:) ax25 suggest it is an alternative method of configuring ax25, and isn't necessary if the other method is used...
Proceeding (presumably):
$ pat http
- You can manually specify what protocol to use with a pat command option.
pat --listen ax25 http ... launches Pat using ax25
- NOTE:
- There are some lines in config file:
"serial-tnc": {
"path": "/dev/ttyUSB0",
"baudrate": 9600,
"type": "Kenwood"
- As noted in blog, I don't have a /dev/ttyUSB0,
and baud in /etc/default/ax25 is set to 1200 so this line here may need to be changed,
and also need to change Kenwood to Icom
- OTOH I've seen notes elsewhere that the serial port isn't even used anymore, so not sure if any of this is relevant...
