- Blender is free, open-source software for 3d modeling, 3d animation, and too many features to list (or understand).
It's available from (link to:) Blender.org
- Most recent version is 2.82a, however the Mint 19.2 Software Repository has version 2.79.b+dfsg0-1ubuntu1.18.04.1, which I installed on Dell Tower.
What a huge learning curve this is going to be! I want to use its sculpting features to create some models for 3d printing.
- Installed 2.82.a+dfsg-1 from Software Manager onto Dell 4600 2020-07-23 (which is running Linux 20)
- 2022-01-03: tower currently has ... version installed.
$ dpkg -s [pkg name] (shows whether a particular package is installed)
