  • This is a program/function included with Linux Mint 20 that allows transferring files across a network without a server configured.
In my first install of Linux 20, Warpinator version is 1.0.6+Ulyana

    Procedure:

  • (JWID) Open Warpinator on both machines (tested between my 4400 & 4600)
On the machine you want to send from, click "Send files"
Select a file or click Browse at the bottom to find the files you want to send.
Click to highlight desired file, and click Send (bottom right)
  • A line will show up in the source machine, listing "1 file" (or more), with "Waiting for approval"
A line will show up in the destination machine, saying "Waiting for your approval"
Click the check box in the destination machine to approve.
File listings on both machines will change to "Completed"
  • (On my installation at least...)
The transferred files(s) will show up in:
    /home/jay/Warpinator
