After installing Linux or doing any major upgrade, Restore your working environment:
This is JWID. You'll do whatever...

  • Directory Structure Setup:
    • My current procedure:
copy mstrWorkingFiles folder from backup into Documents.
At this time, this master folder will contain everything,
      including Arduino and FreeCAD executables.
  • Restore bookmarks:
    • This can be done in two different ways:
      Backup and Restore
This will erase any existing backups that you've added since the upgrade,
and replace them all with your saved backups (.json file)

      or Export and Import

This will Add your saved backups (HTML file)
to whatever backups you've created since the upgrade.

    • Before you do the upgrade, you must save your bookmarks:
      • Open Firefox
click "Open Application Menu" icon (3 horiz lines) in far right side of URL bar
        select bookmarks
select manage bookmarks (bottom of box)
      • Click Import and Backup (top menu bar)
      • Now you must decide which method you'll use to load your saved bookmarks:
        • If you're going to use Restore
then here you must select Backup to create a .json file
        • If you're going to use Import
then you must select Export bookmarks to HTML
      • In either case, a dialogue box will open where you can rename the saved file
and browse to your desired location to save it.

    • After upgrade, load your saved bookmarks:
      • Open FireFox
        Click the Application Menu
        Select bookmarks --> manage bookmarks
        Click Import and Backup.
      • If you saved a .json file, then click Restore.
If you saved an HTML file, then click Import bookmarks from HTML.
      • In either case, a box will open for you to browse to the location of your saved bookmarks file.
        Select it and click Open
      • Inspect the bookmarks tree and move the bookmarks to your desired location (toolbar etc.)
