Still a work in progress...
-----

  • Recording a video with OBS Studio creates a .mkv video file.
To import an .mkv file into Blender (see Instructable link below):
    • (top menu bar) File > New > Video editing
    • (Sequencer menu bar, mid-page) Add > Movie
browse window opens. Navigate to movie file desired
      double-click to load it
  • Edit video in Blender:
    • Tip to set up audio track:
Click the blue bar audio track
In Right-hand lower menu box, find Adjust - Sound
      Click Display waveform

    • In very bottom menu bar, at far-right end, you'll see 3 fields:
      • The first is the time/frame marker for current cursor position.
      • The second, labeled Start, is the frame marker where playback will start
      • The last, at far right, labeled End, is the frame marker where playback will cease.

      • You can change all of them in two different ways:
Position cursor over the one you want to change, and cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.
Click-hold and drag to re-position the marker to where you want it.
-OR- with double-arrow showing, single-left click to create an entry box
type the desired frame number and press enter

    • To cut into a clip:
      • Presumably you'll want to cut both video and audio tracks together:
        ...

    • Export (Render) your edited file:
      • Video clip:
      • Still photo:
      • Audio clip:
