  • Post-processing:
    • This is sanding, scraping, filling, painting, etc. to give your model the desired fit/size and appearance.

    • Rust-oleum Filler/Primer: works as well as you'd expect. With several coats and light sanding in between, it will hide small defects.
    • For deeper defects that can't be sanded out, try Bondo body putty. This is a two-part plastic that can be sanded and painted after it cures.
    • XTC-3D High Performance 3D Print Coating This works well, assuming you want a high gloss finish. But it is crystal clear and hard, a good, durable finish.
    • Sandblasting:
    • Glueing:
      • For all glues: sand, clean, de-grease before glueing.
      • Super-glue (cyanoacrylate) good for PLA, ABS, PETG.
Marginal for Nylon. Brittle, so not as long-term durable as other options.
      • Acetone welding: good for ABS & PLA.
              Strongest bond possible.
      • Gorilla Glue (polyurethanes): good for PLA, PETG, ABS, & Nylon
              Available in range of flexibilities.
      • Epoxy (two-part): good for PLA, PETG, ABS, & Nylon
              Less brittle than super-glues
