• two solids, that intersect, and you want to remove whatever volume that's in the second one, from the first one.
  Note if you have created the removed volume with a Part-create ... command,
  you must do Part --> "convert to solid" before performing the Boolean operation
• Part workbench --> Boolean --> Boolean
  In first shape pick solids - the first shape, the one you're substantially saving
  In second shape pick solids - the second shape, the portion you're removing
  Select difference
  Click Apply
• The second shape will disappear,
  and a new entry will be in the Model tree:
        Cut
