Install Linux 21.1 on MP60

• Linux installation steps:
  • create usb stick with linux boot files
  • edit config files to allow booting from USB stick
  • boot linux from usb stick
  • execute "install linux" on desktop

• 2023-04-06:
  Created Linux 21.1 Vera USB boot stick

• Booted it onto MP60
  $ lsblk shows a 500gb drive
  loop0       2.3G
  sda       476.9G
  sda1       100M
  sda2       16M
  sda3       476G
  sda4       800M
  sdb       14.9G
  sdb1       2.5G
  sdb2       4.1M
  sdb3       12.4G

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

• closed terminal
  double-click Install Linux Mint button on desktop
  • answer prompts
  • decline wifi
  • install multimedia codecs
  • select: erase disk and install Linux Mint
    decline Advanced Features
    click Install Now
    write changes to disk? click Continue
    select time-zone, username, etc.
  • Restart Now
    when prompted, remove boot stick, press Enter
  • Go through startup wizard to select desired desktop, etc.

  $ lsblk shows a 500gb drive

  sda       476.9G
  sda1       512M
  sda2       476.4G
