- Pick a computer:
- Hamclock requires a linux system.
- It's best to have a dedicated system, that does nothing else, other than the Hamclock.
- If you have a windows or mac system, you must install linux:
- You have the option to do a "permanent" install, which will irretrievable wipe/delete all of your original OS and any files you've saved,
- or you can boot a windows or mac system into linux from a usb stick, leaving all your original files intact.
- Some PC's have native linux OS,like rPi's and inovato.
- Pick a monitor:
- Before installing Hamclock, you must decide what monitor you'll use.
- The Hamclock installation is different according to the screen resolution of the monitor you'll be using,
so you need to find out what resolution your monitor has (1920 x 1024 or whatever).
- Install Hamclock:
- Once you have a linux system and have picked your monitor...
- download the software...
- do the install...
- Run Hamclock:
