  • At the end step of this project, you have a circuit that creates/sends encoded IR signals to a receiver to control some device.
    At the start of the process, you have a known IR remote sender to control your desired device.
    The middle of the process is "reading" and decoding the raw data from you existing remote,
        and putting it into the format that your IR sender circuit accepts.

  • So this step, "Decoding the raw data", has its output configuration defined by the needs of the IR sender circuit.
    As such, there will be a lot of different "decoded" solutions that are acceptable,
    depending on the specifics of the IR sender circuit that you'll be using.
