• A System is a collection of "Things" - parts/pieces/entities/nodes
  that "interact".
  Examples of systems:
  • a machine, a car, a refrigerator, a lawnmower, etc. etc.
  • an organism, a collection of cells
  • an economy, a collection of producers and consumers, with products and services and money exchanged
  • an ecology, with bunches of organisms, animals and plants, and their environment, water, air, temperature and flow

• Interactions can be of many types, but generally are in the nature of
  sending and receiving things from each other
  • They can send energy, eg. heat
  • they can exert force/movement on each other
  • they can share data/information
